Specialized Training Programs
01.Friendly Fido
Friendly Fido provides free basic training and behavioral support for veterans and the dogs already living in their homes. By helping dogs develop better manners, confidence, and everyday skills, the program can reduce stress and make daily life more enjoyable for both ends of the leash. A well-trained dog can open the door to more freedom—whether that means taking peaceful walks in the community, welcoming friends into the home, or simply enjoying the life the veteran has always hoped to share
02.FREEDOM COMPANION (Rescue Match Making Program)
Our rescue match making and raising program. We evaluate and socialize suitable rescue dogs and litters at Forever Fido, ensuring the best companion is paired with veterans who desire a well-trained dog but do not require a service dog. Each match is guided by behavior assessments, creating meaningful partnerships that enhance the lives of our heroes. Veterans are part of the raising program for a year and a half with their paired puppy.
03.Fierce Fido
A comprehensive service-dog program for qualifying veterans. Dogs are professionally selected, raised and trained to perform individualized tasks. Veterans participate in training, group classes, community outings and ongoing team support but a lot of the heavy lifting is done by professional trainers and volunteers who want to help. This one of a kind program expedites the training and bond building for the Veteran.
